Homes for Wells
Wells-next-the-Sea is a small coastal town, population around 2500, about 25% of the houses in Wells are second homes, retirement homes or holiday cottages.
Local voluntary emergency services, the RNLI Lifeboat, Coastguards, Fire Brigade, plus other key workers are recruited from local men and women who need to be able to be on call 24 hours of the day and be able to respond quickly. For this reason they need to reside within the town.
Unfortunately, there is a shortage of affordable housing in the town for young people who we need to fill these key roles within our community.
HOMES FOR WELLS is a charitable, non profit making organisation that aims to acquire homes in Wells-next-the-Sea which can be rented to local people at affordable rents to encourage young community spirited people to stay in the town.
